I find way too often as a team opponents find a way to spread us way too easily. It leaves huge gaps between all three phases too often and we are exposed in attack and defence. Smith has to find a way to keep our shape much more compact and disciplined. It will provide us with more rigidity when defending and as the comment above suggests, not leave our lone striker isolated when we attack. And when as a team we do get spread out we then end up chasing the ball and become exhausted and exposed late on in games.

I wouldn't have Trez or AEG timorrow, but I would have Jack playing close behind Samatta.

Pack the midfield, Jack behind Samatta.

Let's be honest, we signed Trez because he came from Nassef Sawiris' Egypt and A&E because he was a cheap squad filler. I've no problem with that providing we'd have signed a proper winger; we didn't, thus two deadbeats in the team. Playing every game with ten men and people question why we're so shit and about to be relegated..

As he’s our main striker I’m not sure he’s much of a secret, but maybe Barry will selected and be that exactly...

What I mean is nobody knows much about him, even us. It's a bit hard to plan your defence against an unknown striker. He will score today!

A superb goal today but the issue continues to be chance creation. He can clearly score goals and will be an asset to us if we stay up or go down. But we simply have to find ways to put him in good positions to score. And we just don’t do that nearly enough right now.

Love this player he’s gonna be a legend.

Agree about delivery. Now we have a proper CF who can get into attacking positions and score headers and all sorts of crazy things like that, we can probably go back the tactics that were unsuccessful with Wesley up front. I’d like to see Elmo start there in the league as his delivery is so good, plus he has the balls for a regelation fight.

He'll score 20 + if the worst happens next season. Think back to the easy goals Tammy would tap in from crosses last year, championship teams aren't good defending crosses.

If we'd signed him in August we'd be over 30 points so that will be one of the frustrations of the season.

Makes you wonder if he was even a target last summer or only came onto our radar with his contract running down in January?

Bet Brugge couldn't believe their luck when they saw 20m + coming their way for Wesley so guess Genk didn't want to sell him last summer but really our season would've been much more comfortable as you can just tell he knows how to play the lone forward role with the runs he makes and holding the ball up pretty well.

Simply miles better than Wesley. As soon as that cross came in from AEG you just knew he wouldn't miss. Good touch and speed. I do think we will need to try Davis and him up top at times for the rest of the season. Davis hold up play is immense.

You do wonder if we'd be doing a fair bit better if we'd bought him in the summer.

It's a pity he took him off. Might have been useful for that corner we won.
