It does have to be said though that it was a dreadful miss.  He didn't get anything on it at all.

Looks like he hadn't expected the specific bounce plus defender being in the way meant he lost track. His boot was going for a different flight on the highlights.

He lacked sharpness. He could and maybe even should have scored twice. Once for sure. But his movement was good for being his first game for the club in what was a massive event. He’ll be on the end of our crosses as he gets up to speed.

Agreed - thought he did well and got into some good positions - match fit and the through ball from Jack would have been converted.

Decent enough debut, no absolute howlers and we didn't resort to hoofing it up front to him. Could have easily been a scoring debut but I'm sure based on what we saw last night the chances will come. He must have been absolutely overwhelmed and thinking we're all crazy!

I thought he was OK last night, it was good to have a forward as an outlet for the defence/midfielders.

The odd nice touch in the first half, but most promisingly he was making clever runs and getting into good positions all night.

The miss was horrendous though and I hope it doesn't knock his confidence.  He looked deflated after that.

People saying he had 2 opportunities to score, obviously the one in the second half from Jacks right wing cross but cannot remember another?

I think he'll be fine.

One in the first half the ball looked like it just got stuck under his boot, mis-timed/mis-judged the bounce. A half chance at best.

That is absolutely fucking insane. Genuinely can't wait to see the scenes there when he scores his first goal hat-trick for us on Saturday. I hope all our games are televised in Tanzania!

Especially considering the game kicked off at 10.45 pm for them

I thought he gave Soyunchu (sp) a torrid time and never let him have time on the ball.

He made some clever runs, including into the positions to make the misses

I think he is going to be decent for us

My only issue with him last night was that I thought he was dropping too deep when we were out of possession, which could well have been under instruction. Would have liked to have seen him put the keeper under more pressure as the odd time we did it seemed to work

Always difficult to tell on TV what’s going on with the striker but you sensed the Leicester centre backs weren’t comfortable at all, it bought a different dimension to our play.

Thought he had a pretty solid debut tbf.  With a bit of fitness under his belt I think he'll do well and score a few goals.
