Smith said in the post match interview that he expects him to play in the 2nd leg. So this must mean his Visa and work permit are a formality

He said this, which suggests he doesn't know when it will be:

"We want another [striker], and we're looking for another. Keinan Davis has just started back in training. Hopefully Samatta will start training for us as soon as possible once he gets his visa sorted."

Your missing the end of the interview off their mate. He says he is confident he will play tuesday. I watched it on the sky sports app and I dont know if there version is longer than the one you saw.

Fair enough, you're right that wasn't on the bit I saw.  Hopefully it gets sorted quickly anyway.

Grammatically, it's inaccurate. Sentiment-wise, it's fucking tedious.

Great news if he can play against Leicester. Will give him a game to get up to speed to play Bournemouth - what a game that will be.

Pretty sure a player can train without a work permit.

Interesting question  ………. I suppose it is what is considered to be  "work" and if Bodymoor Health is a "workplace"  - I guess if he isn't being paid he isn't working.
My big concern is that we may be pinning all our hopes on the fella - we need someone else (more experienced in the Premier League ) to help him - it would be incredible if, in his first game, he helps get us to a Wembley final
