Anyone who thought Taylor defended well perhaps only saw live at the match without replays and the big picture.

Clear to see he was out of position several times and their was a notable attack by Ricardo Pereira where he went round him and was able to put it into the penalty box very easily.
Also several times was exposed and allowed for Leicester players to have attacks down that left side.
Vardy , Madison both had chances first half all with Taylor poor positions
Similarly there was some space on right side where Guilbert defending but no one as bad as Taylor .
Definitely some work needs to be done by Villa for the full back positions and understanding that role.

I can only see Mahrez or Bernardo enjoying all day long playing against Taylor on Sunday and being allowed to cut in to have shots a plenty.
For me Taylor isn't suited to a wing back role as he's a passenger going forward and has no sense of how to be attacking .

Good luck to him and nice chap but he's really weak player all round  and I find it ever so concerning.
Funnily enough found Taylor bearable and adept as a general left back in the main this season however he struggles so much in this 3-5-2 and offers nothing as an option .

Taylor played well END OF.  Try supporting your own players - we drew against 2nd best team in the country no one deserves any negative comments from last night's performance . All players (Like Luiz) make mistakes - its a massive learning curve for all the young inexperienced players at this level. Get behind the team and bin your negativity. Now Wesley is out back to Taylor for the main scapegoat! I suppose you want Taylor out and Targett back in because he is so much better at defending than Taylor lol

outside of Grealish none of our midfield or forward players can keep possession or pass a ball under even small amounts of pressure
that's why you got the goal mistake thing but it was happening all over the pitch in every area by most of the players

defence were fantastic that's why we got the result,
but we really have to get better in the midfield and forward area's hopefully a few new signings will help because most of the sqaud really aren't up to it or good enough

Perhaps Nakamba and Loiz playing along side each other puts the wind up both of them. Each lacking confidence in the other. Alongside a solid experienced player each of them would almost certainly improve and re-gain confidence more quickly. They played ok together at the beginning of the season but have perhaps each lost confidence in the other since.

Taylor did ok at best. A very limited ok at that. I think 'played well' is stretching it, but ok, that's your opinion.

Try understanding that others may have a different view to your own.

Taylor did ok last night.  But if we're playing 5 at the back we need a fullbacks to be much better going forward than he is.

I do think we have good players in Nakamba, Loiz and Wes, however they have all struggled with life here, probably due to lots of reasons, lifestyle, they are young but especially the pace and the strength of the game here. Jack struggled at times before we were relegated, but he's a beast now. He is so powerful as well as gifted with that balance and poise.

I just think we need to be a bit patient with these players. I was really really impressed with Nakamba at the start of the season and Loiz looked very composed too. For us to playing these two as the heart of the midfield is a risky strategy, but these two are better than anyone else we have at the moment. I like Conor but again he struggles when we are under pressure. The least said about Lansbury the better.

We have just been week in the squad in areas which are far too important at this level, centre of midfield up front. Hopefully with a little tinkering in the transfer market we'll just have enough to survive this season.

Some heroic defending last night; Tyrone and Nyland magnificent. Jack showing great control and "nous" when bringing the ball out of defence. So pleased we did not capitulate after the equaliser.

Am looking forward to being in the pub with some Leicester season ticket holders tomorrow. I'll have to explain that if they come to VP they will be entering a proper football ground; not a identikit stadium from IKEA. I'll warn them to leave those bloody clappers at home; we'll be at a semi-final not a kids' party.

Let's get the place rocking.

Hi Ian. Cheers. That's my point really. They're young. I'm sure they'll improve and may be great Villa players in due course like Jack, but they need someone with more nous to give them more direction and confidence on the pitch and game time with that player at this stage.
