Dodgy start, and Liverpool had a few chances after that, too, fair play to them.

Still, overall, job done. And the last goal put a gloss on it. Well done Nyland and Kodjia, in particular. One round from Wembley. COYVB.

Good to see Wesley sticking one in. Nice to see Kodjia getting a couple too. Although more and more I am starting to wonder what the point of Jota is.

The easiest passage to a semi-final since England at the last World Cup.

Chuffed for Wes at the end, hopefully that boosts his confidence.

We didn’t play great to be fair but you can’t really win games like this. Pleased to see big Wes on the scoresheet, he really needed that.

We didn’t get out of second gear ourselves for most of the game and when we stepped it up we scored almost at will. What is concerning is how much time Liverpool has with the ball and how much time it took to win it back off them. Their passing was better than ours and Nyland has to be excellent when we fell asleep a few times. But into the SF.

I thought he played pretty well actually.  He knocks it around better than most of our lot.  His overall effectiveness though is limited by being painfully slow.

They were technically superior to us but experience is so important and we had a little bit of luck.  Nyland MOTM by far.
