AEG should have had a hat-trick.

Usual bullshit being spouted on WM.  Mel Eves Villa first teamers playing only a bit better bla bla bla. We looked like we were in 2nd gear.
A very bitter loser

I was out and have only looked at post game stats, but sounds like we dominated overall.

A comfortable stroll. Bar a minute or two of panic itnwas the easiest game we've had all season.

Crewe offered more.

Poor delivery from the full backs, wingers worked hard, Hourihane anonymous, Lansbury too slow. Dougie was fouled I felt in the build up to their goal.

Passed them to death, bullied them off the ball, centre halves fine. Easy really.

No way was there only 35k on.

We did what we needed to do. At no time did we look like losing that tie.

Striker situation now very concerning, though.

Yep, but hopefully we’ll get to January and snap one up then.

It was one of the most comfortable victories in recent history.

I think that's put to bed a few myths about gaps, levels and whatnot.

Our squad is ok, will be tested throughout the season, but we were ok. Konsa, Hause and Luiz played well. Trezeguet is non stop and always looking to create.

Taylor should be shipped out at some point, however. Though to be fair, he got forward ok. A liability at times when defending.

Wolves not as good as they think they are, and for their numbers, crap away support. An orange Tamworth.

Did what we needed to do. The whole game seemed fairly flat for long portions, possibly due to our controlled dominance and Wolves lack of ambition, interspersed with a couple of moments of quality (and a couple of sloppy mistakes)

Thought Konsa looked like he has the potential to be an excellent player - looked very composed on the ball.

Can see why Smith likes Lansbury and has keep him around, it’s a shame he is made of glass.

Well in control throughout except the daft goal we gave away. We've got some decent back-up options for a mid-table side. Steer, Konsa, Hause, AEH, Lansbury, Davis, Kodija are all well worth a squad place.

Come January it should definitely be a case of quality over quantity in our recruitment - a striker and a winger in, ideally a young left back too to put pressure on Targett so that Taylor can go. Other than that, it's a good squad.

No excuse for not winning that given the team Wolves put out but we made very heavy work of it.

Still in the next round with the draw at ridiculous time of 8.45am tomorrow.
