Job done, despite nearly gifting them two equalisers! Thought Konsa looked impressive and Lansbury picked good passes, would have hoped for a bit more from the widemen. Can't believe the draw is not even on TV.

Had the misfortune to listen to WM on the way home. Fuck me it’s a wonder i didn’t slash my wrists listening to Mel Eves drone on, stuttering, hesitating and tripping up on his words to come up with another excuse to why the Wolves lost. It was like a fuckin wake. Jesus!

After waiting over 15 minutes to actually get in because of incompetent organisation I thought we never got out of fifth gear. We could have easily scored more goals if we cranked up the gears but in the end the bare minimum effort was all that was needed.

One to forget about and fast.

Basically we played them off the park for 90 minutes and should have thrashed them. Sadly for Wolves we have a far better squad than they do, and their second string is utter shit.

Just seen on twitter their XI tonight actually cost over £45m as well, it's not our fault they've bought young gambles from abroad to fill their squad.

Konsa, Hause and Elmo all played well.
Luiz had a stroll in the park kind of game with acres of space to play in, made it look very easy.

But for me, considering the quality and standard of the opposition, trezeguet and el Ghazi were piss poor.

For Saturday, I’d drop both of them and have Elmo playing in front of Freddie .

I wouldn't say we made heavy work of it. I reckon most of our team could play another game tomorrow night they had such an easy time of it.

Luiz was class, Konsa and Hause were very good, Elmo did ok and is a good backup, Taylor was poor (other than 1 really good cross which AEG really should've buried). Further forward we didn't quite create enough because they, effectively, had a back 5 and 2 DMs, it meant we had fuck loads of possession but we got crowded out on the edge of their box a lot. Given everything their fans say about how great they are turning up and defending their box for 90 minutes and trying to catch us on the counter doesn't scream tactical masterclass by a team that are vastly above us in quality.

we well in control for most of the match (95%) because they were so piss poor
rarely have I seen any team offer so little

I could have played in defence and done ok and still Taylor did his best to look shit
Davis did ok in the first half
Douglas MOTM
rest of the mids and forwards - championship standard not good enough
Trez in particular not dangerous enough, no idea actually

if we had of not won that it would have been a disgrace

good job we got a complete new side to play in the league games

There seemed to be an Exclusion Zone around Douglas Luiz. He had as much time as he wanted. He used it well though. Ran the show.

Bit of an anti-climax - bit like a training game of our reserves against theirs, no 'derby' tempo or atmosphere, but job done and that's all that matters.

Great to get the winner just as they were giving it large for their equaliser.  Lansbury should have killed them off with a free header from 5 yards out, and with only 1 in it and 6 minutes injury time (God knows why) it could have cost us. But it didn't and we're in the hat for tomorrow.

Impressed with Konsa and Hause at the back - both self assured, and good to know we've got decent cover to fall back on if needs be.  And we looked much more dangerous with Keinan up top - hopefully the injury won't keep him out too long - looked like hamstring twang to me but hopefully just a twinge.

Bring on Colchester or Oxford at home - this competition could be a passport to Europe

edit Lansbury not Conor with the header

They made 11 changes, we made 9.
This resulted in them fielding a team we'd never heard of compared to our fairly strong second string.
Thus highlighting our owners am considerably richer than theirs and we've got a much stronger squad depth.

Man Utd at home my prediction for the quarters

Should have won more comfortably, but that'll do. Oxford or Colchester and no fuck ups please, Villa.

Decided to skip the last 15 minutes to have dinner without a worry in the world we'd come unstuck.
I hope the Wolves fans enjoyed their big day out but hopefully they'll have understood, you can't fake rivalry.

Overall, bitterly disappointed the game was so uncompetitive. And the reason; Wolves were embarrassingly, utter shite.
