Sky person reckons they were only looking if it touched him, not whether he was interfering with play. But if it was that close to him, then he was interfering as Heaton wouldn’t be able to commit either way.

I think the first thing they look at on VAR is who will suffer by the decision. If it's Villa the decision is straightforward.
