A Liverpool supporting mate of mine was there. I was enjoying the game for a bit..

I took solace from the stories he told me of loads of their supporters who fucked off at half time and missed it all.

On first tonight, typical Newcastle bias.

Didn't bother showing Schar pulling back Watkins for the red so that won't be asking "should he have been on the pitch" post match.

Thank goodness Dion is on instead of Shearer crying somewhere. Christ even Keown is being nice. Must be happy we have scuppered Geordies march on 2nd.

All goals were really well worked. It should have been 8.2

No surprise the BBC are trying to make Watkins comments as a thing against Villa both on MOTD and on the website as the lead angle. He was stating it in a joking manner in the same way the question was asked by Redknapp.

Yep but if we got to 8 we would have gifted them 2. Like Everton all those years back (1989)

No doubt it's just me being stupid, but what was that 'pass the Geordies on the left hand side' thing? I don't get it.

There was band called Musical Youth from Saltley (nearish to Aston) back in early 80s. 2nd generation Jamaincans mostly. Their main hit was 'Pass the Dutchie on the left hand side'. The Dutchie being a large hand rolled cigarette with additional ingredients.

So it was crap pun on that. Really crap. I don't recall them having a football supporting preference.

It's safe to say Rory's street cred has just taken a bit of a bashing. :(
