You may scoff but I had 5Live on yesterday afternoon and they continually referenced teams that "could go above Arsenal".....

I see that MOTD didn't deem McCallisters non sending off for Liverpool even worthy of a mention.  Would clearly spoil the narrative.

Also, without going full Tim*, I noted two things in the aftermath of our victory against Bologna.
- The morning after Liverpool won, the sports guy on BBC Breakfast said something like "Liverpool won against RB Leipzig to maintain their perfect start to their Champions League campaign, one of only two two teams to do so." Obviously no mention of the other team.
- The BBC Text service had 9 or 10 stories in in its Football Headlines. No mention of our win but there was a story on Girona winning their CL game. Maybe it's just because Girona are more popular in the UK than Villa.

*Never go full Tim.

Wasn't expecting to see the new Rúben Amorim biopic take up a large chunk of BBC News Sportsday segment. The only thing it lacked was a choir in the background proclaiming How Great Thou Art.

The Beeb will probably do a 2 part documentary on him before he even manages a game

The BBC are totally obsessed with Man Utd. They must think  they are all football fans want to hear about.

I'm not even talking about the highlights reels. I think we had a millisecond three seasons ago.
