It doesn't matter, it's just an observation.

It seems to matter quite a lot to some people who are furious that we are not being given The Respect That We Deserve.

Again, what does 'under the radar' mean, in any meaningful way, for a football club currently playing in the Premier League and the Champions League?

It means 'unnoticed'.

95% of the praise is for Unai Emery. As if he is doing a magnificent job with a bunch of misfits!!!

The quality, strength and conviction of the squad is not getting the recognition it deserves.

Right, sure, but it's still unclear to me why it matters? The other teams we're playing against don't get their analysis from MOTD, so where's the practical benefit?

I don't think there is any but it has been nice in the last few weeks hearing commentators and pundits finally catch on to how fucking good Rogers is after not seeming to notice for a while.

I've just been on a call with a guy in Poland and he said this weekend was the first time he'd watched us this season and, on the back of it, he can't understand why there isn't a lot more 'noise' around our players because, to him, we look like a title challenger.

With a name like Monty, I'm amazed you don't know what flying under the radar is.  :)

I'm referring to the media in general. It matters in a practical way because it is taking a lot of the pressure off our players and less distraction. Let the media focus on the demise of Man Utd, Chelsea's crazy dealings, Liverpool without Goofy, Angeball, Peps future, Arsenal being Arses etc whilst we focus 100% on winning the next match.

Ha, I know what it is, I just don't quite know why people say it! But anyway, fair enough etc.

Practically, ‘under the radar’ means less money from sponsors.

Personally, it means my very nice colleague at work, a Chelsea’s fan originally from Zimbabwe, saying shit like ‘Villa are doing well, you must hope the big clubs don’t take your players’.

He’s a lovely man, he’s been here for a couple of years tops and I pushed to get him a full contract at work because he’s so hard-working and pleasant, so I tolerate his glory-hunting ways much more easily than I do others’, but fuck me it’s annoying.

I have an acquaintance who's a Juve 'fan' who's so obnoxious it's made that fixture my own personal 'must win' of the season. He was so smug about Douglas Luiz - I  must remember to thank him for the forty-odd million.

There's obviously a conspiracy to deny us credit. I can't believe more people don't see it.

It really p*sses me off that a team like Man Utd, after 11 years of mediocrity, still grab the headlines. Is 11 years not long enough!! How long will be enough?

The media are keeping their sponsors happy and keeping them afloat.

I saw MOTD on Saturday and for once I thought they got the batting order of matches in terms of interest, incidents and importance correct.

It also helped that the utter Buffoon Richards was nowhere to be seen (although Shearer was still about) and replace by the far more amiable and professional Mr Given.

I don't mind Shearer on Match of the Day. I don't mind Given either, but I was laughing at his analysis of us seeming to focus our attacks down the left because Emery must have identified a weakness on Fulham's right. He also spotted that Cash must have been told to keep back.

Still think we should of been on before Spurs . We are above them . Our game had 4 goals , 2 red cards , a pen , a pen save . It was also a pretty good game .

Maybe we should have a camouflaged kit.
We had a camouflaged team in 15/16 season.

To be fair their game was pretty eventful. I mean a game where I actually felt sorry for Richarlasen is a first. And probably only.

I suppose the tie break was they have coaches who were under a lot of pressure whereas there is no such narrative with Fulham and Villa.

Yes, why would they choose a local derby containing five goals and two deeply under-pressure managers with big reputations ahead of our routine win over Fulham (Fulham) if there's not a conspiracy? It doesn't make sense.

We were on before Man U, I noticed. Bloody Fulham-loving, Man U-hating media.
