The standard of cricket writing has gone downhill on the BBC Sport website. It’s full of typos and inaccuracies whereas before it was generally a good place to read quality cricket journalism. They no longer have designated cricket reporters attached to specific counties and as a result their output has suffered.

Cricket reporting/commentary in general seems to have gone shit over the last few years, almost all of the really interesting characters seem to be dropping out and there's fa less quality coming through.

On the game, Bears were excellent but the biggest takeaway I had is how many people seem to think half that Yorkshire side should play for England but then they wonder why we keep losing.

incredible start but the next 2 have managed to dig in and get them going. I don't know if they have a huge amount of batting after this pair though so the next wicket is critical.

EDIT:
As I thought, the middle order have been a bit short of runs with only really dickson coming into this in any form and then a long tail. If we can get Carlson soon we'll be confident we can restrict them to something perfectly reasonable to chase. I doubt we put them in expecting to concede any batting points.

Well, we've conceded two so far.

We were really flat after the first hour and up until tea which let them build a score far higher than we'll be happy with and then letting them get 60 for the last couple will have been really frustrating after getting 4-13 with the new ball. Need to be sensible now though because if things play the same today once you survive the first 10-15overs there's very little in this pitch to offer a threat.

Good start for the Bears, Glammy 0 for 2.

Things looking significantly less good, since.
