Fingers crossed, though he's said he wants to explore franchise cricket so we probably wouldn't see him for the first part of the season assuming he's in India.

Great news for you fans of the Bears….Woakes to no longer be ducked around by England, hope you get 4/5 years out of him in red ball….his availability instantly turns you into title contenders next yr

A seam attack of Woakes, Bamber, Thompson and Barnard looks pretty useful on paper!

Very sad. Historically Edgbaston wasn’t even the name of the ground it was the County Ground. Edgbaston was the location. And it isn’t a stadium in any meaningful sense!

Finally common sense and we will play as Warwickshire again in T20 next year

The only side in world sport which didn’t play under its own name! Our geography and identity now recognised!

Wonderful!

An interview with Dermot Reeve in the Athletic and I hope it’s not behind a paywall, I don’t subscribe so I don’t know but I accessed it.

I always thought he was an arrogant twat who was known for wearing his match shirts with his name on the back in bars along Hagley Road but you cannot argue about his captaincy and the trophies.

He’s had his struggles so maybe he will sort his life out.

Having met him a couple of times my view is very good player, exceptional captain, complete bellend.

Good article, thanks. Tbf, everyone is a bellend on cocaine. Hope he sorts himself out.

Good to see the Pears bringing someone in for the season, not that I've heard of the lad to be fair.  Need another batter though.

I used to know a girl who frequented him and apparently he has the biggest cock ever.
