That's your summer cricket fix. Although that new fangled limited overs game is being played too.

First day of the last proper cricket derby of the season & probs last 4 day one for at least a year

Pears batting first so I expect Bears will be batting around tea this afternoon….and that’s my optimistic head :-)

Very much a last chance saloon for us Pears, to have a realistic chance of making it a fight with Essex / Yorkshire we need to win this one…I have very very little faith in a very brittle batting order particularly without Waite digging in at 7.

Happy with 333, Brookes is really developing as a cricketer in all formats

You should be, after we got Taylor I think we'd have been looking at something around 250-270 and facing 7-8 overs last night.

In response the Bears top order decided they wanted to get an early lunch.

Big 16-17 overs tonight now - 149 is a great lead but can’t go losing 5/6 tonight now as we have a habit of doing the spectacular collapse….can you tell the batting makes me nervous :-)

Top performance from Shahzad

Smith seems like a good well organised player

Don't worry, Worcestershire have this win in the bag.

And the inevitable collapse to make a game of it…pears batting, the gift that’s always giving :-)

How many overs left in the day? Enough to reach the target?
