Ryan Sidebottom is the next through the revolving dressing room door.

I know that he has been blighted by injuries but unless there’s some strategic recruitment master plan underway then we are down to the bare bones. It all seems a bit strange, particularly when you consider that Farbrace is off too.

Calling Gareth to the thread.  So, Gidman has gone, we get our wish.  Who comes in next? Will it make a difference if we continue toi lose the talent of the likes of Barnard? I don't count Moeen as he has hardly stretched himself to bother over the last couple of years.  Gidman going has to be good news?

It can’t be bad news, Mr Pink & Fluffy gone :-)
As for who is next not sure, guess there is the question of appointing a a director of cricket first, there was talk of Giles a few weeks back but he might have bigger options.

Spot on, losing Barnard is big, hopefully Hose and Waite won’t be end of recruitment and getting Azhar back & Tongue fit will help.  Need promotion next season or can see Haynes & Pennington being next two picked off.

Sounds like a good signing if his fitness record is good (well we are signing him...)

Been a good county pro for many years, but at 36 it's not exactly an inspiring signing.

Considering we apparently wouldn't offer Keith Barker a two year deal a few years ago because he was over 30, it's a bit of an about turn.

Calling Gareth again.  Is this a sensible appointment or the cheap option?

It looks the cheap option but I guess we’ll have to wait and see whether the last couple of years have been all Gidman or partly Richo….let’s hope he has his own ideas.  Hopefully a good quality DoC is next

Any idea who you'd like?  Must be honest, I am disappointed with the appointment.

Don’t know, saw Giles mentioned early on but not heard anything since.

It doesn’t feel like a new start type change does it?
