Glad to see some resilience in the Worcestershire batting. We’ve played okay so far and yet find ourselves in the bottom three!
Think there is only Libby of the top order who still needs a score so that will come….we are lacking the bowler who knocks over the tail.  We have also played Durham & Notts who are probs the best two sides in division, particularly at the time that they could pick Broad & Stokes

Bears look really light on bowling right now, just too many quicks missing means we're strugglnig to take wickets with any consistency. It was nice to see McAndrew pick up a few though, hopefully that will help him settle in.

Gloucestershire are at the point now where I'm expecting a call up.

Three loan signings needed to put out a team for the Somerset game  :(

Bears won toss and put Northants into bat.
Currently 53/0 17 gone.
Not the start we were after with the overcast conditions

Thought after the Somerset game we'd not make the same mistake by choosing to bowl first, so this is very disappointing and I'm surprised Norwell isn't playing.

He was injured again Essex so I assume he's still not fit, I'm sure he'd be playing otherwise.

Another dreadful performance by our so called bowling attack following on from  the Somerset and Lancashire  batterings. Not sure why Norwell is  not playing he has played in the last couple of second team games and was in the squad

Pitch seemed to offer very little, which makes our decision to bowl first even stranger

I see Surrey made 671 for 9 dec and broke the world record for the highest innings score without a batter making a ton.

Should be a draw though Steve - seems like it’s a road to bat on so need them to knuckle down in morning, particularly Libby needs runs.  Like Warwick we seem to be lacking a true strike bowler at the moment
