Not even trying to get 350 now. No runs in nine balls. Abject surrender.

I think the problem was yesterday afternoon not this morning, once Rhodes got out we were always looking too slow to get the 350, we were 20-30 runs short at the end of the day which meant we had to come out swinging this morning against fresh bowlers on a pitch that is always lively in the first session.

We were on course after yesterday's evening session, needing fewer than five an over with six wickets in hand. It was eminently gettable. Bottled it. Hopefully Lancashire can do us a favour.

Bresnan took your advice…only trouble was he hit it straight back to the bowler  >:(

Not managing four bonus points, let alone five, all season is really poor. Regardless of who wins the league, our batting needs improving, or at least a change of mentality. It's like they've appointed Alex McLeish as batting coach.

True but seeing how the ball is moving now compared to the afternoon and evening sessions yesterday I think we should've pushed things on when the ball wasn't doing very much, we shouldn't have ended the day under 300. We have too many batsmen who are willing to just settle in at scoring a single or 2 an over for extended periods.

What it leads to is people like Briggs having to try t20 style batting to get us over the line when a handful of aggressive shots yesterday afternoon could've made this a much simpler job. I don't think it's about bottling it, just not taking responsibility at key moments.

Maybe, I haven't seen the swing just the score tbf. Anyway, fifteen off that over... you never know. Need 28 from 24 balls. If we had even one more wicket I'd say we had a decent chance.

And Wankashire are 47 for 6. We've blown it. ☹

16 from 15 but with no room for error. All very frustrating.
