Today is the proof that you don't judge a score until both teams have batted...

Bears have rallied a bit to 79-5

Hopefully they can push on and build a bit of a lead.

They built a healthy lead of 27 (116 all out) which has now been eroded away…Hants now 1 in front (28-0)

Looking at the scores around the country today, something like 102 wickets fell today.

Daryl Mitchell, Villa fan, retiring at the end of the season, after 19 years with Worcester.

Bears game is in an interesting place, Bears 80/0 need another 214 to win with the best part of 4 sessions to play so, a lot like England, it's a case of grinding out the overs and making sure there's still wickets in the bag by Tea tomorrow. Get there reasonably safely and they're favourites but they absolutely need to avoid a collapse.

Sibley has batted really well so far, his technique is probably not complete enough for international cricket but at county level he's such a valuable player.

I'd rather we tried to take advantage and scored at a higher run rate when the opposition are struggling. Hopefully the pitch holds or we may regret our lethargic rate today.

Rhodes has said the wicket is hard to score on now and to get out on too though, so hopefully we will win by teatime!

Day 4 of basking in the sun today, after day 1 i didn't think for 1 minute this would go to 4th day.
For me it's been a great match and yesterday with Sibley and Yates seemingly on a go slow was somewhat turgid but u could see the
difficulty in getting the ball away.
Then Sibley spoilt all the good work by chucking his wkt away followed not much later by Chris Benjamin doing the same...the shot of youth and his white ball
antics coming to the fore.
Hants certainly back in the game with those 2 wkts.

A blessing for the Bears this morning is the likliehood of Mo Abbass missing due to the injury he picked up yesterday.

This is a really interesting game, still firmly in the balance for me. A couple of wickets nudges them in front and a 50 partnership nudges the bears forward. I think the draw is out of the question though.
