ECB have finally judged the Derby v Essex game that was abandoned due to Covid...deemed a draw so Essex get 11 points ensuring they finish below Bears.
Currently Bears are :
60/0 20.4
Sibley 30*
Yates 30*

Glos lost to Hants so, after their superb start to the season, they fail to make the cut for the second part of the season

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/county-championship/table

The final group tables. Bears will play each of the top 2 counties in the other two groups (4 games in total). We will not play Notts as they were in our group and we
have already played them twice beating them both times, which is great for us as we take 50% of the points earned against them through with us. So we start the next stage
top of the division with 21 points.
Would be nice to stay unbeaten in those 4 games. The fixtures for these games have not been published yet.

I'll assume that none of the games will be played on days that are convenient for spectators, as usual.

I know what you mean but being retired i can go any time, and i prefer not to have games on a saturday as i watch my own club then.
I realise i'm in minority there.

A good win in the derby tonight, largely thanks to Hain & Brathwaite. I know crowds are limited at the moment but I was surprised at how small the crowd looked. There seemed to be more at the Notts game a couple of weeks ago.

Still, I’d rather be a Bear than a Pear, I spoke to Ian Bell and stood close to Becky Wood which was actually my highlight.

You Bears!

Enjoyable night on the field with a good game decided by an excellent partnership between Hain and Brathwaite.  Off the field not so great, with pissed up idiots aplenty, Villa obsessives singing about us throughout, a few fights breaking out and a really obnoxious woman behind who continued to shout a torrent of foul language throughout the entirety of the game with families and kids sitting all around.

Was limited to 25% capacity, so was a sell out

Doesn't look like we are gonna get any favours of useless Yorkshire bastards, currently trundling along at less than a run a ball with under four overs left.

Relying on Leicestershire to beat the Pears and us beating Northants, then.

Bears have a guy called Chris Benjamin on debut, lets say he won't die wondering, he was 9 from 3 having got 2 reverse sweep 4s. He's now 46 from 26 and seems to be having great fun.

Is that enough ? We’re down to average points because of the Derbyshire situation.
