Is it six or seven bowlers who are out for the Bears?

Yes. Woakes, Stone, OHD, Brathwaite, Mousley, Bresnan & Briggs. A crazy number out, but the Bears batting is dire at the moment.

Another  spineless and pathetic batting performance yet again by the Bears  .I can accept us losing but not to not show any passion  or pride over the last few weeks is hard to take

The Derby v Essex championship game has been abandoned this morning due to a positive Covid test in the home squad.
Which means that Essex can't qualify for next stage of Championship and as long as we match Durhams points tally (Notts 312/9 in that game..no play today so far)
Bears currently 296/4 so nearly a third batting point.
Lamb 23*
Rhodes 36*

Assuming we now finish in the top 2 we need Notts to finish there with us as going into next stage we will not play our group
companions again but we would take half the number of points with us and as we did the double over Notts that will be a
considerable sum around 22 i imagine.

Rhodes 50
318/4 96.3 gone so 14 overs nearly to get to 350

Finally all out 395. They will be disappointed with that especially with the start  Pears have made.

In response to our 395 Pears have moved onto 313/7 125 overs
We will come out of the game with 6 bonus points. Very likely a draw now. Bears certainly don't need to take any risks.
With Durham 161/9 i think highly unlikely they will trouble Notts. So more or less nailed on that we go forward in second place.

83 overs left in the day with Pears declaring 447/9 a lead of 52.
Trying to set enough time for Sodhi to bowl us ut leaving enough time to achieve a smallish target.
Positive from them putting a certain amount of pressure on Bears to not get out.
