AD wins it. Other note able selection SVR for two counties Glamorgan and Somerset.

What a tragedy though that every single one is an overseas player.
For my own part i plead guilty...AD

It's a vote for the greatest oversea player though ...

I took part in these votes for Gloucestershire.

We had a good choice for overseas, with Proctor coming out ahead of 'Z' and Courtney. Nothing wrong with choosing any of those three

For the English players, I thought that the final was nailed on to be between WG and Wally Hammond.

As it happened, Jack Russell defeated Mark Alleyne in the final. Both were great players but nowhere near the class of WG or Wally

Who is English county cricket's greatest ever overseas player? - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/52892535

Vote Donald!

There's something I won't be saying in November.

Sir Viv will surely win this.

What a signing that is! Even for his experience never mind his talent?

Yep, happy with that.  He's still a very useful player at domestic level.

Yeah, good player and good influence in dressing room. Happy with that, looking forward to seeing him play.

Great player, he was a very important part of the England team for a while and never really got the credit he deserved for being the workhorse that the rest of the attack bowled around. I'm pretty sure that if I dug through the old international cricket threads there'd be a fair few times where I argued with people who were calling for him to be replaced with someone who took more wickets, it was pretty common for a couple of series.

He fit into England's then set up very well.  Kept it to 3 an over, decent strike rate (64), and more than useful bat.  Surgery fucked him though at international level.  In his first 14 Tests he took 55 wickets, in his last 9 he took 17 and his economy rate was higher than before.

I agree, by the time he was dropped it was the right decision but there was a couple of years where we were a better team with him in it.
