I loved him far more for what he did for England than for anything he did for the Bears.  I always felt he used county games as warm ups.

I have to agree with you. I’m not disrespecting Bob who I loved as a player but he never gave his all for the Bears in the way that someone like Allan Donald did.

great news but it's going to be impossible to repeat given the circumstances last year, getting world cup games and an ashes test was massive. What this does do though is highlight how big an advantage Lords gives to Middlesex because they're guaranteed games in every tour.

Don’t think they do.

They do benefit of playing at a stadium that is renovated and upgraded without them having to pay for it any of it though. Think this means (or meant) they were debt free.
