Groundstaff not exactly rushing at Lords. at close of Middx innings Bears required 58 off 23 overs
then heavens opened but only briefly i imagine no. of overs now down to about 10 and reducing.
All covers now off just 2 blotters on outfield.
Have to get on sharpish.....they're at least on field warming up.

If get this done be a great win

After the Leics result, Worcs need just 2 points v Yorks next week for promotion. We're 22 ahead of Leics but with more wins, which will count if the points are equal

Yes, Gareth, straight back down again - unless we can hang onto the next crop of promising youngsters

Come on you Pears. Win the toss, bowl first, take 6 wickets. Or, piss down all week.

If we do go up Gareth, do you feel we will bring others in, given we have three to come in already? Will be tough to stay up.

Going to be v difficult, would imagine like most will be looking for a good Aussie or two for overseas (apparently no test cricket through our summer) & will need to use the loan market well again as batting line up is Div 2 standard at best

We could do with another top bowler in the ranks too I think.  Weather doesn't look great this week.  Wash out coming on Wednesday but the other three may be ok, with the odd shower.

Absolutely Steve, Pennington has bowled really well since he was announced as leaving so will be a big hole to replace….

Hopefully get it done this week
