Dom Bess in on loan at the Bears and straight into the away at Essex.

Currently 10/1 with Rushworth getting one in his first over.

Azhar Ali, don't know what the Pears are paying him but I think he's been a waste of money. Likely to be an influence around the training pitches for the younger batters but has not been good value for money at the wicket.

Definitely not this season Steve, one innings apart.  Suspect they went for him this season as he was available all year…don’t expect he’ll be here next year…problem is if a few others aren’t either

I'd expect him to score for fun with the flat pitches and hot weather but he's been way too short of what we need Gareth. Shame.

Agree, expected plenty of runs in the middle order from Azhar & Haynes, neither have scored enough…Libby is a class apart

Hmm, I turned the bears stream off with it about 40/2, I'm a bit surprised to check now and see they're over 200 without losing another.

Derbyshire, bottom of the pile, showing us how to bat and bowl. Typical Worcestershire. Giles can’t get there quickly enough. Not as if he’ll be coaching I suppose.

Think he is already in, just switched the stream on and it’s tea and looks like Giles stood chatting with groundsman on the square.

Madsen is always a bogey player, thank god Godleman isn’t playing else they’d probs only be 2 down….need a good post tea or going to be looking at 250/300 deficit sometime tomorrow

Could have done with Tongue being released for this Gareth?

33 balls, scores just 3 and out again. Azhar Ali. What a waste of space. Better with putting Pollock in there.

Who’d have thought he’d be busy this week after all :-)

Absolutely, not justifying selection at the mo, particularly as well paid overseas

Looks like Tongue is going to Lancashire (or bloody Notts or one other) according to the Daily Heil.  Pees on the chips of one of ‘little’ counties enjoying one of their players making the Ashes.

Short career and with the injuries he’s had can fully understand has to maximise but on the flip side be a kick in the teeth for the support he’s had.
