Sun is out today but the pitch still isn't easy to score on. Bears were all out for 150 this morning, Surrey currently 75/3. Last wicket was Rory Burns out LBW offering no shot to one that was far to good for him to try to leave, no idea what he was thinking.

I suspect they'll have a first innings lead but hopefully we can keep things pretty close. Frustratingly Foakes is looking in good form. Woakes has bowled superbly for no reward from what I've seen.

Murmurs on the cricketing grapevine that the men's version of The Hundred could be consigned to Room 101 in the near future.

Would be great news if true…doesn’t seem to have caught on anywhere else in the world…thankfully!

Need competitive Championship cricket in the summer months not April or September…give a bit of chance to find a couple of decent openers!

I wonder in the long run whether 50 over cricket will die a death both internationally and domestically as most of the cricket playing world it’s not hugely supported….particularly with the women’s cricket getting better maybe t20 double headers might be more attractive to the paying public and broadcasters than a 50 over game?

From what I read they may drop the Hundred and revamp the existing T20 Blast in an attempt to attract better players. There could be more name changes too to widen the appeal of the game to worldwide TV audiences, for example Leicestershire Foxes could become Leicester City; If the Bears include the word “City” within their name there will be a mutiny!

I think you’d be ahead of the game there having the Birmingham name for T20 rather than Warwickshire already :-)

A revamped t20 so long as it has all county teams in it is fine… not sure aligning with football teams would work…most have several teams in the county…we’d have the opposite problem in Worcestershire since Harriers got relegated

First wicket down, absolute beauty of a delivery from Rushworth that the batter left but it came back and took the top of his off stump.
