Thanks Redsox. We still need a bit of a miracle but at least it's not completely impossible.

Elsewhere, Nottinghamshire promoted.

The lost overs are going to be the problem I think. On this pitch things get flat after about 25-30 overs but we won't have time to wait that out before going big.

Yates gone in pretty tough batting conditions, still need 9 to get level. Brooks coming in, so Nightwatchman or coming out to have a thrash without losing any frontline batters?

How Hampshire are slowing the game down this morning is disgusting, 6 overs in the first half an hour, cheating fucks.

177 all out. Hampshire need 139 to win but 138 will be enough to relegate us. Need about, say, seven quick wickets to make it interesting.

49/4 with Vince gone, 1-2 more wickets without too many runs and this is on. Not many runs to play with though.

Could do with breaking this pair up soon, another couple before tea would be massive.

Norwell with another, He's been exceptional in this match. If he'd been fit all summer we'd be nowhere near the relegation battle.

73/5
Gubbins 28*
Donald 0*

can't imagine time being a problem now, this is all about whether we can get the wickets.
