Ive worked in construction for over 25 years.  I know this can be done relatively easy. Costs may be a stumbling block or perhaps future development of the ground would make it a waste of money, time and effort. It's got to be better than giving them a whole stand behind the goals.

And are you also experienced in the licensing of football grounds? The stand's been like this since 1994 so I doubt it's something that hasn't been looked at previously.
No i'm not. But i'm pretty sure the club will have some experience in these matters.

Exactly. As Lastfootstamper said, if it was that straightforward they'd have done it.
I was only offering my opinion on the actual structural alterations that are possible if we're to avoid this situation in future. The regulations around emergency exits etc are not my forte. Perhaps we have architects or council officials amongst us who could enlighten us.

I can remember when we didn’t think we could put the away fans in the Doug

every time it came up so we could have both ends the same people said ‘if it could be done we’d have done it’  and ‘it’s not l as easy as it seems’

then they just did it

It  does seem that we are going to be 're-learning' lessons from this. It is a mistake to give the visiting fans a whole end of the ground. That is why they were shunted up to the top corner of the Witten Lane Stand. Has there been any explanation from the club for this change in thinking ?

The club have tweeted that season ticket holders in the North Stand will need to relocate and that Wolves have taken their full allocation.

Confirmed now they've got all of the North Stand, between 6k and 7k.

Have you got a link for this? There's still not a peep about the game on the website, no emails regarding the game, nothing that I can see anyway.

It's because the Witton Lane stand has an incredible amount of steel in it. Be foolish to let 5300 tatters inside it, there would be nowt left but the asbestos.

I'd be a bit pissed off if I was a season ticket holder in there.

Me too to be fair. The rules should be "10% or 3,000, which ever is more, subject to section (b)".

Section (b) being you cant have more than your average home gate of the mid-80s if you happened to be so shite you were in the 4th division.

Which in their case is 30,000.

I can't wait to play a giant of European football like Wolves at Villa Park. It will be like 1983 and Barcelona and Juventus all over again.  I think we could all be forgiven for buying half and half scarves on this occasion.

They took 50,000 to their last final too.

That sounds an odd figure. I think the lower holds around 2900. That means just over 4100 in the upper. So theyre not giving them just the upper and 5326 is around 1800 less than the full capacity. Wtf?
