Does anyone know roughly how many are left for this? I need to get a couple when they go on sale to ST holders at 5pm today.

I also need to try and get an extra Wolves away ticket and guess when they go on sale to ST holders? 5pm today also!

This is really amateurish from the ticket office putting them both on sale at exactly the same time. It almost certainly means that if I’m able to get tickets for the home cup game, by the time I try for the away game, there will be none left.

You’d think that they would plan these things better for the supporters.

FFS yes it’s sold out. Just checked. Very annoying that there’s Villa fans who can’t get tickets when we’ve allocated Wolves far more than they’re entitled to.

There's also probably going to be plenty of empty seats dotted around due to ST holders not going.

Why? I struggle to see why season ticket holders are going to be boycotting a non-televised local derby when they all attended a televised Monday night game against West Ham.

Because to many people the Premier League is all that matters.

To pointless clubs like Watford, maybe. Not to us. We sold out all our tickets for about our last half dozen Championship games. We also had 40,000 in for West Brom, the last time we played a home cup game with similar levels of hype.

Because our first FA Cup quarter final at home for more than half a century, against our oldest rivals, is exactly the same as a fourth round League Cup match between two reserve teams against opponents we fall over ourselves to say don't matter to us.

Well I suppose we'll find out in due course.  I reckon it will be rammed though.

I suspect the fact that it's half-term week might also have an impact on some season-ticket holders - many will already be going away, or have other plans for the week.  I can't imagine there being too many empty seats on the night however.

It may well be, but I think there'll still be a lot who won't bother and as has been suggested, it would have been far better if season ticket holders had opt in to get their tickets.

There will be 40,000+ there. It's a Villa game. There are always 40,000+ there.

Sudden thought - maybe the extra tickets for Wolves fans is a quid pro quo for them agreeing to allow season tickets in for free and £10 for the rest?
