Looks a lot better than what was there before, I hope they can do something similar with the Trinity. Really like it.

Drove past today. Quite surprised to see the images on the side of the Academy, Peter Withe, Sir Brian, etc are being replaced by lovely old images of the stadium in it's various stages over it's 127 years of evolution. Great touch, these guys seem smitten by the clubs heritage. Im guessing and hoping those ones that have been removed will be found a new home.

It’s for this reason that I don’t think they’d move us to a new stadium in a different location.

Even though I think stadiums like the Emirates are really, really nice, I’d hate for us to build a new one.

I’m old fashioned and love a good old four stranded ground, with corner gaps, and being able to see out from them.  Too many stadiums now you can’t even tell where you are once you’re in them.

I would imagine doing what Spurs did and moving to a temporary home like the Alexander stadium while Villa Park is rebuilt would be more likely than moving somewhere else altogether.

Admittedly the location doesn't do us any favours.  Coming in from the Holte side, with the church and Aston Hall is fine, but the other side less so.  Its certainly not somewhere I'd fancy strolling around on my own.

Goodness me. It’s really not that scary.

When the H&V 20th celebration was at The Barton I decided to walk back to my hotel. ( I think I booked the Campanile because it was cheap and I knew I wouldn't see much of it).

On the way I was circled by a police van who then stopped me and asked what I was doing. I told them and they basically told me I was an idiot for doing that on my own at that time of night and insisted on giving me a lift back. Funnily enough the staff didn't bat an eye at a guest being dropped off by a van full of coppers.

My Brother saw loads of the old signs outside the club shop on Sunday, he asked if he could have one or two and was told "no, some historian is coming to look at them but they will probably end up in a skip"

There were loads of them stacked up and the smaller ones were in boxes

That's a cool touch....... potentially.
If they are going to be images then they need to be higher up out of reach.
I have no doubt they will be magnetic to those fuckers down the road.

Ermmm.... Yes!

Scoring a few goals in a local derby win might be enough to make you a legend down the road. Not with us.
