We want these players to be schooled for a year not simply making up someone else's numbers. Brentford is an obvious candidate, but perhaps also Fulham and HuddersfieldHaven't Fulham already got lots of players though? After they did a Fulham last summer.

He's earned that right, and the hierarchy have clearly rewarded him for this endeavours over the past few seasons with a new contract.Lansbury can impress all he wants in pre-season, but Hourihane has consistently produced in games - and the big games even more importantly. He might struggle to hold-down a starting spot this season, but I'm sure he'll always be in the squad as he's capable of coming-off the bench and creating / scoring a goal from a set-piece. Grealish aside, I'm not sure how many dead-ball 'specialists' we actually have left in this squad...

With respect, anyone advocating selling Kodjia and keeping Davis needs to give their head a wobble. Granted he's not the player he was pre ankle injuries, but Kodjia can, and does, still score and create things, whilst Davis simply holds up the ball.
