I can’t see Hourihane getting a look in next season either

I would wager that we won't see a match-day 18 WITHOUT Hourihane in it next season (unless he's injured). He's earned that right, and the hierarchy have clearly rewarded him for this endeavours over the past few seasons with a new contract.

Lansbury can impress all he wants in pre-season, but Hourihane has consistently produced in games - and the big games even more importantly. He might struggle to hold-down a starting spot this season, but I'm sure he'll always be in the squad as he's capable of coming-off the bench and creating / scoring a goal from a set-piece.

Grealish aside, I'm not sure how many dead-ball 'specialists' we actually have left in this squad...

I think we currently have 30 including Tosser, O Hare and Hepburn Murphy. We're expecting another 3 in with Marvellous a GK and probably a forward so that would be 33. Some are not applicable as they're U21, but surely we wouldn't need more than 28 players to pick from total, so allow 3 U21's.

New GK...?, Steer, Nyland 3 - sell Kalinic

Elmo, Guilbert, Konsa (U21), Chester, Mings, Engels, Hause, Taylor, Targett. 8 (1 U21) - loan Bree

Douglas (U21), Nakamba?, McGinn, Grealish, Hourahane, Lansbury, Bjarnasson 6 (1 U21) - sell Tosser

Jota, El Ghazi, Hepburn Murphy (U21), Trezeguet, Maupay?, Green 5 (1 U21) - loan O Hare

Wesley, Davis, Kodjia 3 - sell Hogan

TOTAL 28 (3 - U21)

It looks like Nakamba is coming but if we don't get a GK and another forward, keep Kalinic and Hogan for now.

don’t know why Davis always seems to be nominated for a loan

we need all the strikers we can get
if he’s not good enough sell him

Personally I think he’ll make a very good forward,
for me I think he’s better than Kodjia,
he’s not really been given much game time and next season will be more difficult because it’s a step up for most of our players but I think he could be needed he’s very similar to Wesley I wouldn’t have any problem with him standing in

I just think sending people out on loan us an excuse for not thinking they are good enough
we don’t need baggage just sell the deadwood if that’s what he is

I think he is good enough and will prove himself with us or elsewhere like Amavi, Gaye and Veratout did with others

Hogan, Tishbola, BB to be sold. Posibly Lansbury as well.
Green, Bree, Davis and O'Hare to be loaned.

Re loans: we should be demanding as hell about where they go. We want these players to be schooled for a year not simply making up someone else's numbers.
Brentford is an obvious candidate, but perhaps also Fulham and Huddersfield; maybe Luton, Leeds and Brissol. If, when they return, they are not up for a first-team squad place, it's time to sell.

I wouldn't loan Davis either currently because, as you say he's the only one you could see doing a similar job to Wesley as he plays like him. I'm not sure he's ever been as good as Kodjia was before the injury but he could end up being better.

Loaning people out that look as though they're nearly there but not quite is a good idea, if you can see that they're currently down the pecking order. Say if we loan Bree out, he has the best season he's ever had and meanwhile one of the right backs we have get a bad injury. It's a simple one to sort next summer then, a player that's been around the club a while that suddenly looks like they deserve a shot.

I'm hoping the guy who kept on telling us to hold on to our seats will come back to tell us to hold on to our seats.

I can see us keeping Davis around as third choice and selling Kodjia instead.

Definitely send RHM, COH and Green on loan, preferably the Championship with progressive Managers.

Lansbury, Hogan, Bjarnson, personally I’d get rid.

Obviously the biggest problem with the ‘get rids’ is finding someone who wants them and can afford them

We don't have a single player who wouldn't easily find a club. I'm not saying we would get big money for them, or even that we wouldn't have to contribute to their wages if they go on loan, but we are hardly talking McCormack and Richards, here.

If they're surplus to requirements, they'll be off. Just like Tshibola, Green, Steer, O'Hare, Hogan, Hepburn-Murphy, Elphick and probably a few others that I've forgotten were last year.

Premier League clubs routinely have a load of players out on loan. No big deal.

Getting promoted has solved the problem.

Payoff the mercenaries and negotiate with the rest.

Haven't Fulham already got lots of players though?  After they did a Fulham last summer.

With respect, anyone advocating selling Kodjia and keeping Davis needs to give their head a wobble. Granted he's not the player he was pre ankle injuries, but Kodjia can, and does, still score and create things, whilst Davis simply holds up the ball.

I suspect neither JK or Davis are good enough for us in the Premier League, but as it stands I think both will stay in the squad and Hogan will be sold. Davis needs a few goals under his belt, and it will be interesting to see what version of Kodjia we see this season although I suspect the ACN won’t have done him any favours as he could have done with a full preseason resting, receiving physio and in the gym.
