Dougie is doing fine, albeit lacking a bit of match sharpness.

The winter 23-24 edition of Dougie was every bit as good as Tielemans - how quickly we forget. That's where we need to get him back to, and I think we will.

All in all, in the circumstances, we're lucky to have him.

Still hoping Tielemans shakes of his injury early - what a player!

Having them both fit for the run in will do us no end of favors. Could make all the difference.

And should be no end-of-season tiredness that can ruin teams. Probably good news for Belgium in the summer too.

Big call to start Dougie today but first half he was quality. Looked levels above JJ who was trying to track him. No point running him into the ground once they went ahead. Key player for us v Leeds.

Did nicely when we hadn’t lost our minds.

Thought he was decent, particularly after his early yellow card. If we decide to keep him he’ll be a quality squad addition.

Well he assisted the goal to give us the lead - with an excellent free kick. Seems a bit of an odd conclusion to draw when our keeper makes an idiotic decision to leave us with 10 men and change the game.

He's got another few gears in him. Confidence started running tonight. Cracking shot at one stage, passed up chance in a similar position v Brighton.

Until that goal though he had also been caught in possession a few times because of slow reactions, got a stupid early yellow and almost went to pull players back even after that, suddenly controlling himself in time. Yep, ok is definitely agood descriptor. And all that was before Bizot's rush.

I would happily sign him back permently - hes not fully match fit but a player of his quality for that price seems like a no brainer.

I think hes looked good - in an out of form team - which is pretty difficult.  Ive been more worried witH Onana's failure to step up than anything Dougie has done.

7 games into his return - what are we thinking? Nowhere near the physical level he was when he left but still has loads of ability. Would like to see him take a few more risks in possession.

He’s getting better, he’s pretty much the only starter right now on an upward curve. Cash was but he’s levelled since injury.

Totally outclassed last night. Maybe him with Kamara and Tielemans? I'm not sure I'd want to spend another £25m on him to turn the hands of time back.

Thought he was decent last night, not least because he ended his mammoth goal drought. Actually got in amongst it, carried the ball well at times and found a few decent passes.

Still way, way off what's needed, but I'll take progress anywhere a this point.
