You don't have to look at it. Just move on. But most of the journalists that you rely on for updates use it. And you can't copy and paste a video from there. So if it's not something you like ignore it.

I’d like the Villa content, it’s just that it’s posted on a child porn website.

Bluesky football content is improving, a fair few big hitters are on it already, including ornstein (admittedly I dont see video linked to above)

Interview here with David Ornstein on Doug being fixated on coming back to us.

https://x.com/skysportspl/status/2016224693951275413?s=46

It's so interesting, because I think the Juventus thing did have an allure for him as well, but it was clear that he loved his time with us (I think there was some Twitch or Instagram or Distopion or Hellbook video he did where he made it clear he thought of us as his real club). I never quite believed all that stuff about him wanting to go - it struck me as after the fact justification for the PSR stuff that meant he was forced to.

I really hope it works out for him, as we're always moaning that players in the modern age don't have the connections to their clubs that they used to, and one thing I love about this Villa team - from Digne to Onana, from Cash to Mings via Konsa and Buendia - is that they really seem like they love being here, and Doug was always one of them in this regard.

He did turn down a new deal though, didn't he, this time two years ago while we we were battling for 4th?
Juve may have already turned his head by then. But it's clear he has retained affection for us. Just hope he has the fitness levels to make an impact cos he's such a cultured player on the ball.

That’s quite telling and quite sad really, I guess he didn’t want to leave. So pleased he’s back.

Yeah, I think that's it. Perhaps we'd already told him he was a possible PSR fall-guy, and he thought at that stage 'well, why not Juve as much as another'. You can see the glamour of it. But yes, he clearly has a lot of fondness for us, and who are we not to reciprocate it if that'll help him get back to his best?

Idk if they make money off the tens of thousands of bot interactions on x or what but I just wouldn’t want my name associated with that place for personal and professional reasons. I find it bizarre the UK government makes you do MFA to have a wank yet doesn’t vacate x totally because the Nazi owner lets people make AI child porn and non-consensual AI adult porn (for people who give him money).

I actually think Emi might have had the same or similar conversation and you could see him visibly upset at the end of last season. My guess is his agent was informed early on and they likely connected with other clubs including Man U who at the time had that clown in goal. So he probably expected to leave and it never happened.

I think we as fans tend to see it as very black and white, which is totally fair enough and our prerogative as irrational consumers, and obviously the thought of Emi as the favourite son of the Auditorium of Sleep Paralysis is pretty fecking galling. But you're right - from his point of view, you might feel already a bit rejected if the club comes to you and says 'listen, we're x million in the red and we've decided you're probably going to make that difference'. I'm sure it affects your feelings of loyalty.

Agreed.

I also have ann annoyance with news outlets posting videos of interviews rather than the words.

With you on that. Quite often I see an interesting sounding headline, so click on it and it's a link to an hour long video. Er, nah. I wasn't that interested.
