Genuinely curious as this does seem from nowhere.

What sort of player is he? This merry-go-round with Juve sucks!

Defensive midfielder, looks a much better fit as cover for Kamara than McKennie for me.

At 8pm Juventus made one last attempt with Weston McKennie — he softened his stance slightly, but still didn’t change his mind.

We're quid's in - its a Ferrari from the Agnelli families personal collection.  Only 6 Enzo Barrenechea were ever made, and this one has a walnut interior, a sun-roof and central locking.  Even has fully service history and the original spare tyre (much like Mckennie).

Well no I get that, but had this been a completely unrelated transfer it coming out of the blue wouldn’t be the same. It’d just be something we’d been working on in the background. But this feels a bit like Juventus just mixing and matching who they are happy to kick out of the door. Fingers crossed he’s really good, but seems more of a punt.

It does feel like Juventus are bullying us a bit here to get what they want out of the deal.

From Wiki “On 22 May 2021, Barrenechea injured his ACL.[5] On 20 February 2022, Barrenechea returned”
Sounds like a perfect fit to me!

Also “ He is a defensive midfielder who has drawn comparisons with Paul Pogba and Steven Nzonzi” - really?

Nzonzi played for Sevilla, after Deano tried to sign him iirc.

Won the Europa League with Emery and Sevilla, and did well enough for him that he got in the France squad that won the World Cup.

Played half the final, so it wasn't a Scott Carson medal either.
