This is an FFP quick fire, gotta get it done asap deal.

Hate these part ex deals, as we rarely come up trumps. I have no positive thoughts about this at all.

I wonder if he was told he was going a few months ago and that's what led to the fall off in play? I'm sure I saw before that Monchi or Emery let's players know if they're surplus to requirements a while before the end of the season so they have time to sort something new out. Maybe that was someone else, but Juve feels like a strange deal to have come out of nowhere.

It coincided with Kamara getting injured.

Properly gutted that he’s going. He’s a massive loss.

He's a great player but I'm not sure he will be.

I agree.
While I do like him, I’m not exactly devastated that he’s off.
It’s an oh, well feeling.

Of it were Ollie, SJM or Emi leaving, that’s a different story.
My sentiments too pretty much.

It’s hard to accept that that Luiz SJM Kamara midfield base will not be seen again.
We built a hell of a season on it.

We're bringing in 2 players we've been linked with before, and have a player leaving that may really want leave. I'm confident we'd only bring in players Unai wants, he never strikes me as a type to accept a "well he'll do I suppose" player, to the degree he'd rather be a player short than stick a kid on the bench who he was never going to use.

Rest of the lads are going to have to practice their penalties over the summer.

Tielemans I'd assume?

A new midfield of McGinn, McKinnie, Gallagher and Tielemans , with backup from Ramsey and Kamara.

That’s got some energy about it….we will run the legs off every opposition.

I think McGinn takes them for Scotland so he might be worth a look.

Fair point but when you say we rarely come up trumps you're forgetting who's actually running team affairs now. We're on a level we've never witnessed before. I'm confident we will come up trumps in the long run.

I think people are falling into the trap of recency bias and him performing a different role in the second half of the season. We don’t have that run in the first half of the season without him, he was exceptional. I hope we have some real quality coming in, because McKennie is massively unconvincing.

McKennie isn't the replacement for Luiz though, more likely Dendoncker. Barkley is coming in.

Plus perhaps Gallagher.

Hs an 84% penalty scoring record. Most of his misses came very early in his career, almost a decade ago. His most recent miss was for Leicester in the FA Cup last Jan.

I just don’t see the Gallagher one, I think he’ll stay.

Carew for Baros wasn't a disaster. And while Ireland didn't work out there were loads on here that thought we'd had Man City's pants down with that deal at the time.

might not be his choice. Chelsea need to shift players or they will have a squad of about 50 come August.
