Bit silly really, out of all our players you would have expected him to bury that shot with his left too. Onana had last laugh there.

Thought he was back to his best yesterday and best player on view (Neville giving his pal Maguire motm was laughable, they can't play out from back because of him!). Distribution of ball was very good, defensively miles better than his hologram impression v Chelsea and that wasn't an easy finish for the goal either.

Needs to show some leadership now without Kamara next to him.
i didn't think he had one of his better days, at times he slows the game way too much and the tempo dips.

Yep, how dare a player celebrate scoring when we might end up not winning the game, just get back and get on twith the game like the good little drones you are.

Agreed! Onana was taking the piss out of the Holte, only right for Dougie to return it with both barrels/breasts.

Absolute bollocks. He was excellent, although he missed a huge sitter and should have buried it. Probably the pick of the bunch out of our missed opportunities.

We really need him on his best form to get us through to the end, whoever he’s paired with he can really help them with his calmness and his quality on the ball.

Sadly, we saw against Sheffield United (h) and Man Utd that it took some of his game away when we didn't have Kamara. He didn't have as much license to get forward so unless Tim can come in and do a very good Kamara impression, he might not look quite as good for the rest of the season.

Very true.  He's almost certainly going to have to take a bigger share of defensive duties, whoever plays alongside him.

I hope we are trying to convince him to extend his contract. Losing him in the summer would be a massive blow.

I honestly can't see Luiz being at the club next season if we're not playing in the CL.  Same goes for Martinez actually.

He'd certainly fit in with any top club, he's a special player. Him and Martinez were fantastic signings, probably our best signings in the last twenty years.

I hope he stays. Along with Bailey he's a joy to watch.

Not sure there are many clubs that have the FFP head room to offer what we’d want for Doug and Martinez.

Assuming we are not forced to sell to sort out our own FFP issues.

I think they both have a lot of affection for the club and can see we're going in the right direction. If we don't get CL this year, they may really fancy their chances of doing it next season.

Diego Carlos, who has been reported as injured earlier today.
