Fact:
Douglas Luiz has never ever missed a Villa game through injury.
What a pro!

Footy you really shouldn’t jinx these things! Great stat though

Oh I hope not!
He's my favourite player.

I love this:
"In one of the most tactically regimented sides in Europe, Luiz is relishing the freedom he has been afforded. Penalties, free kicks, corners, he does it all, but always with an air of modest authority. He’s that one player everyone wanted to be in school. Forget Roy of the Rovers, Luiz is the Roy of Rio"

Football Insider (I know, I know) say we're about to start talks with Dougie over a new contract.

Seems likely given his performances and that Arsenal are still supposedly still interested in him. Would be good to get him tied down, even if only in the worst case scenario we can fleece them.

Would make sense. If he's not one of our highest earners, he should be.

Isn't it only a year since he signed a new one?

Oh you're right. And it was apparently a long term one, so even if someone was sniffing around we'd still be in a good position. I'll cop to that, Football Insider will never get my attention again.

Interestingly, it was October 14th that he signed last year. That was before Emery came in, right? Committing to us long term even under Gerrard makes you think there's no way he's leaving us now.

Unless there’s a release clause that the owners want re addressed

Or he's worth more and we're rewarding good performances.

Plausible that his performances under Emery have earned him a new and improved deal that recognises his importance.

Bad Senegalese. The new member and number one fan of African Car Reverser. He also mentioned there was a French band called Aston Villa in his second post.

i'd assess after the triple header coming up - Spurs/Arsenal/Ci£y . (if indeed there is anew contract floating (which i doubt))
He's a good player but was only a few weeks ago he cost us a goal at Wolves .
