To think many of us would've snatched Arsenals hands off for that £25m, What the fuck is he worth now? Ridiculous player.

Depends what's in his contract.

Anything below £50m would feel very unfair.

Couple of sloppy passes and didn't help us keep control of the ball in a couple of spells that could have put us in trouble. Still more to come from him.

If there is a clause in his current contract offer him a new one and get rid of it.

We have to keep hold of him.

Martinez, Konsa, Luiz, Watkings - indispensable spine of the team.

He’s an absolutely ridiculous player. One of the best in the league now without question.

I’m resigned to losing him for Grealish-type money in the next two years if we don’t get Champions League, cause he could play for any team in Europe.

I'd pay money just to watch him stroll the pitch with the ball at his feet.

I wouldn’t. Not often I can say this but I’ve always rated him. That post Covid period under smith showed how good he can be. Emery has just provided a system where he can shine.

I predict this word is heading for the Oxford Dictionary.

Yep, obviously I don't want it. But the links will start any day now.

Romano has already said he's being monitored by 'top clubs'.

We have to keep this team together.

Maybe, but I think he is right.  Don't get me wrong, the good in games far outweighs the bad, but he still has a few too many lapses.  If he can get rid of them then he will be top drawer.

If it stops people saying Emery-ball then I'm all for it.

Dwight Yorke back in April.

Quote
“Douglas Luiz is a player I have watched closely at Aston Villa and I’m not quite sure what his strengths are,” he said. “What does he actually do? He’s very steady in midfield but I don’t understand the hype from the summer when Arsenal nearly signed him. Luiz is not creative enough to sit in the midfield. He plays a crucial role at Villa, but you have to do more to warrant a big move. I don’t think he’s a top-four player, but he’s acceptable for Villa.”

That's good enough for me. We should base our entire scouting operation on players not considered any good by Yorke, the daft twat.

Edit: by which I mean we should sign everyone he doesn't rate, because he's a gormless arsehead.
