He’s fantastic isn’t he. What a player we have.

He’s the player I am most worried about leaving.  His contract *must* have a release clause and I’d guess it will be a value that suits him rather than us as it was signed when he had 12-months left so would’ve been a free transfer this summer.

He could have gone to Arsenal but stayed, and we were really, really shit. Now we're on the verge of something big and he's an integral part of it, why would he leave?

Douglas Luiz: "The atmosphere is crazy. I'm so happy to be here and play in Villa Park, it's a dream really. We believe in Unai Emery and we're so happy with him".

"We want to play in the Europa League. We are training hard every day for this objective".

I think he'll stay, but it wasn't like he turned Arsenal down to stay, the club rejected every Arsenal bid.

The only blot on his book yesterday was dawdling on the ball that let Kane in and Emi saved the day. He is a little prone to being lax when receiving the ball back to goal.

If there is a clause I believe it’ll be set at at least £80M. Out of reach of most unless Saudis make him their marquee signing.

If there was a clause, I'm pretty sure it would have been mentioned during the Arsenal bids reporting. After all everyone seemed to know about the Citeh buyback clause in the first contract.

He signed a new contract since then.

He needs a better chant than he has.

Its the first chant I’ve ever heard for him and it was underwhelming.
Defo need a new chant.

Have no idea what the current chant is but perhaps something simple to Blondie's 'Denis' would work e.g.

Luiz Luiz, when you're in claret & blue
Luiz Luiz, we get a rush from you
Luiz Luiz, we're so in love with you......Luiz

Oh Luiz...etc

Like it. Our best songs are normally 70s/80s influenced….Salifou and all that.
