Yes indeed, but he's clearly spent the summer working on it and is now delivering some of the most dangerous corners I've ever seen on a week-by-week basis, I'm going back to it again but I'm gutted yesterdays didn't go in because it was a truly stunning delivery, I'd bet that hundreds of hours of practice have gone into this, maybe this is what McPhee has spent his time under Gerrard working on.

Tremendous save, plus the follow-up as well. Our last home game we had Kepa in Banks mode and we had Raya on similar form yesterday. Difference was we actually managed some shots that were truly unstoppable.

I’m surprised opposition sides haven’t started putting a man on the back post to try and counter it.

You can't hurt a fool and you can't beat a swerve.

I want to see him shoot more, not side footing it but putting his laces through it.

SHOOT.

Agreed! SHOOOT!!

Not having heard it in the Duggee context before, I thought the booing noise meant that Ruud Van Nistelrooy was playing for us.

Very nearly a third goal of the season direct from a corner as well. Keepers must be shitting themselves when we get a corner from their right hand side.

The one yesterday was the best hit of the lot, he hit it like the Ronaldo free kicks that dip but with a lot more side spin so it kinda wobbled and dipped in the air, keeper had no chance of judging the flight of it and it was maybe 1-2 inches away from going in off the post. The technique involved is incredible. My only quesrtion is why we don't ahve him taking free kicks in the same way. I reckon he's easily good enough to hit double figures from set pieces alone.

It's the way it dips at the end.  The ball must be five feet or more above the crossbar at the front post and dips to about a foot below the crossbar at the back post, and it's doing it at pace, with swerve.  I'd hate to be defending it.

“Gerrard was a great coach at Aston Villa, but unfortunately the results weren’t showing. We know how dynamic football is. We have to look forward. If the result doesn’t appear, we have to make a move or change something.

“Our assistant took over and we managed to have a great game against Brentford. He made changes to the formation and the way of playing. I think that’s what Gerrard lacked a bit: to take a little risk.

Missed out on the Brazil WC squad. And yet Fred is in there.

In conclusion, come on Argentina!

In today's big football news Dougie and Alisha have split up because he didn't approve of her 'raunchy' calendar. :(

On a more positive note it means Alisha is now single again.

Bit of an odd one, as it's not like they both haven't posted pictures of both of them on holiday etc in various states of undress. Oh well.
