From Doug

I come here I apologized for the red card, even though I thought it was not for expulsion, I was not disloyal! but anyway I harmed my team at an important moment! apologies fans, staff and Aston villa F.C

He's a good lad, our Doug. Everyone fucks up from time to time.

I probably need glasses , but I still can't see that as red. Is Mitrovic going to spend the night in intensive care.

That wasn’t a red, come on, anyone who thinks it is what about the twat that ran towards him with his chest puffed out. Stupid decision

Michael Oliver looked at it once on the little TV and gave a red. I've looked at it multiple times and still don't see any evidence of him even attempting a head butt.

I don't think the TV was working and he went with the advice of the VAR in his ear.

Mitrovic went full Bamford, and you never go full Bamford.

I thought the extra couple of floor rolls were excellent.  One Bafta on its way to Mitrovic for the drama.

Whatever, it served it's purpose in the mix of ineptitude to bring about much needed change so hallelujah, and at least Dendonker might get to touch the ball in a Villa shirt.

Like it or not, unless you play for a Sky6 team you get sent off for that these days, it was stupid.  But at least it showed some heart.
