I see Doug and Kamara as potentially a similar pairing to Petrov and Barry, 2 players who have positional discipline and will put the defensive work in but have the technical ability and passing range to make things happen and let the players around/in front of them push into the box and get the goals we need. Both capable of scoring the odd wonder goal as well. They are also both not the quickest so will need to concentrate on making the ball do the work and have pace added around them.
I agree.  I think Doug & Kamara will make an excellent central midfield pairing given time.

I normally dislike him but I think he's been solid today.  One of very few.

He needs to be played alongside a DM and not be the DM. It's so obvious it's been said a million times and I feel like a prick saying it again. Just play Nakamba for McGinn. Or my nan for McGinn.

Buendia, Luiz, Digne were often getting selected for their national teams not long ago (I think Phil still does).  They must be good players to be chosen by those teams so the aim must be to get them back to that level of performance.

I think we need to talk about Luiz's touch before he got his shot off that led to three efforts on goal in 5 seconds. Absolute, total and utter filth. Almost worth the ticket price alone.

It was after the 3 shots but yes, superb touch and awareness, just  a shame that even if he'd buried it Ings was offside for his shot so it wouldn't have counted. Luiz regularly has touches like that where you see just how smart a player he is, it's why I find it strange that so many people don't rate him.

Thought he played well on Sunday.  Looked more composed than he'd done before in that role.

I think he's been out best player this season and we'll miss him.

He was a twat, but we move on. He's got one match left that he's available for us now until after the World Cup.
