So if it’s true he wanted to go, do we now have an unhappy player.
He didn’t look very happy when he scored the other night either.
I don’t know what to make of it all.

If he keeps scoring goals he can look as miserable as Steve Bruce when the chip shop has closed early for all I care.

Long-necked bloke, used to hang about with Rod Hull, IIRC.

If he'd gone for £25m, I'd can't say I'd be too bothered, provided we got time to find a replacement. The fact that they left it this late, means it was never going to happen.

Edu is their Lange equivalent and a former player of theirs.

That edu creature got a grip of Micahel Parkisnson's gonads on live TV. Parky wasn't best pleased IIRC.

Thanks, I think I remember him as a player, but hadn't a clue he was now working for them.

Fuck off Arsenal and Sky and Talk Sport.

Luiz we love you and soon we will have a manager in charge who knows how to coach and  won't be tactically clueless  and you will make the Brazil squad later in the year.

I have always thought that Luiz has always been played out of position with us.
He has played as an emergency DM when really his true value is higher up the pitch.
I for one am glad he is staying and as Toronto says our new Manager will be able to utilise all our players including Dougie in a better tactical plan.

I’m glad he’s stayed.

He could leave on a free? He could sign a new deal. All if’s and buts right now.

I’m not worried about losing £25m this previous window? No.

We’ve wasted ten fold that over the years on crap.

He's staying, he wants his Brazil place back, he's played well this season and not been assured of his place despite 2 of the 3 players ahead of him looking - how to put this politely - not exactly in peak form. I know what I'd change in this equation.

I'm glad he's staying. He's a good player. Just hope he is happy to stay as well.

Hopefully the board put a block on him going, so the new manager/coach will have a bigger squad to work with.

I’m a bit torn on whether we should have cashed in or not. We keep being told that player trading is a part of modern football and certainly massively helps with FFP compliance so knowing when to trade an asset is vital for me in Pushing us forwards. I have a feeling that unless he signs a new contract we’ve maybe missed the window for selling him which would be good for the trading account and FFP. 🤷🏼‍♂️

As long as he plays then he is worth keeping - he is a tidy player, and could complement Kamara as the one of the two holding players. Saying that he'll probably make the odd sub appearance over the next 10 games.
