I like him, and hoping he gets better with Kamara behind him.

I dont see this as anything other than a good thing

I think hes still got potential - I think it is pretty much impossible to judge any Villa player on the last 12 month cos theyve all been shit.

George Best would end up looking like Keith Gillispe if he played for us

At least we dont lose him on a free - and from a FFP perspective... I have no idea what this means.

I like Doug but he doesn't often hurt the Opposition.

I think this is the problem with our Midfield in general. Ramsey showed glimpses of being able to do it last season but someone needs to step up in midfield and make a killer pass or a dribble into the Opposition box.

Perhaps Doug can do this now he can be played in his natural position, but the juries still out for me.

Preserves his transfer value if he flatters to deceive again this season. Though I doubt Gerrard will look to sell him now while he's our manager. He'll keep giving Luiz plenty of chances to play shit before he finally hooks him.

I think Mr Woodhall has said it, but we can't have had too many players who look really good against the better teams and pretty average against the rest. Dugee certainly has the talent but I don't know how he fits into our team (see also Coutinho/Buendia/Meatball......).

Not me, it's far too perceptive.

New 3 year contract according to the Telegraph. Good age, and good player if he kicks on. Better than McGinn and Ramsey at present for me.

Excellent news.

Great news. A quality player signed up and if used correctly will improve

Played as an 8, hopefully off set pieces that’ll do nicely

Good news, I think he’s really promising and with the competition in that position he’s got to get better if he’s to play

I know a lot don’t like him but you are wrong. Again.

Can be used in a double pivot and as an 8 so is likely to be involved.  More so means he cannot leave for free next summer.

This is his 4th year with us, how long does the description 'promising' last?

At the very least until we might need to sell him.

3 years is interesting, usually expect 4.

When he can be described as either useless shit good great or excellent.

I think bang average is pretty accurate.
