No mention of him in any of DS's interviews..

Deano mentioned him as though he was already signed.*

*Bring back Doug.

The team photo on Friday will be interesting - there will either be a Photoshop of him in the picture or one of those insert shots of his head and shoulders ( no not a bottle of shampoo) tagged on the end of photo like they used to feature in Shoot or Charles Buchan football magazines ........for younger posters ask yer  grandad :)

Yes, he mentioned Doug as signed in the interview yesterday - I wish Jack Woodward would've asked Deano for an update in that interview! Muppet Jack!

Am I right in thinking he can't play on Saturday anyway? If so, there's no rush. I'm sure whatever needs to be sorted will be.

Why not? He's unlikely to play even if things are sorted because of a lack of training with the squad and potential jet lag but I don't see why he couldn't.

Just something I read somewhere or someone mentioned it, I forget which but I may be wrong.

He has already signed hasn’t he? It’s the work permit that’s the issue.

I suppose Wesley's WP took nearly 3 weeks, but the fact that this deal was first mentioned on 12th July and he still isn't training with the squad is still a concern nearly a month later. Not the best preparation with the kick-off only days away.

Yeah, it's a shame he hasn't been able to train or take part in preseason. You'd think they would have extra staff on for the last week before the deadline, at least.

Why should they go out of their way to help the football industry, though? I am sure they're overloaded as it is, work-wise.

I doubt that's the problem, though, as other players have got theirs. My worry is that we're having trouble actually getting it.

I am totally relaxed in the knowledge that this government has a truly amazing and unblemished immigration record.
