I said as much in the post-match thread, Ezri could have done better, but equally so should have McGinn in tracking De Bruyne in the first place.

Martinez was most to blame I thought. That cross was too close to the keeper/goalline but Martinez footwork was dreadful and couldn't deal with it.

Konsa was most as fault - he was standing in space with absolutely no idea where Haaland was.

A common problem he has, far from the first time we’ve seen it.

There are better defenders than Konsa who have been undone by a brilliant ball from DeBruyne.  Hindsight is always great, he could have done this or that - but then you can say that for most goals ever scored.  Sometimes you need to just take your hat off to a very well made goal.

It's not the cross from DeBruyne that's the issue, it was leaving the most dangerous striker in the world alone at the back post.

Rather than focus on that I take the view that the back 4 did well to limit his opportunities. One of the reasons that he’s the most dangerous striker in the world is that he is able to find that space against even the best defences.

Agree Chris, I think it was one of those goals that was more down to how good the opposition are than any particular big mistake by our players. Which is rarity these days.

It was a humdinger of a cross. There aren't many players these days that are geat crossers of the ball, it's a dying art with all the tip-tappery, but he's nearly as good at it as Elmo.

I think sometimes people are too quick to find fault with our own, rather than, as in this case, credit the opposition.

In which situation, Mings did really well to impose him on Haaland, in the main.

That’s a great way to look at it Chris, credit is due to the back four in that game.

In this Man Utd match Konsa very risky and lacking intelligence when in possession.  He has a struggle with football. Has to be careful.

A whole new level of dreadful today, really doesn't look like he will recover his form at this point. No part of his game is functioning. A real pity as I really rated him.

He had a shocker. His total lack of pace was really shown up today.

Good point.
