He did really well again last night, Engels may not get back in straight away.

We're blessed in the centre-back department for sure with Mings, Engels, Konsa, Chester, Hause. I'm pleased.

I hope Engels doesn't walk back in to the side.  Not because he's done anything wrong, but because when somebody comes in and does well, they should keep their place in the side.

Agree with this as it promotes competition

I continue to love how he looks too composed !
So relaxed . Breathtaking player comfortable on ball and so unlucky , if not a little poor, to miss his goal and head straight at keeper.

We have healthy competition for those central defence places which is brilliant for us.

Can Konsa play, or has he played, at right back?

I would imagine he could fill in for Guilbert when he's banned on Wednesday.

That means changing 2 defensive positions.  Elmo can slot in comfortably.  Other than that, the defence should remain the same.

Sirlordbaltimore of this Parish was seen in conversation with the Scottish Cafu on the weekend, so maybe the latter will be signed in time to play against Chelsea :)

Smith mentioned at the start of the season that Konsa can play right back, so it's either bring Engels back, and move Konsa there, or leave Konsa where he is and play Elmo.

That wouldn't be a bad shout playing him at th if he can play there.  I'd rather try that and bring engels back then have Elmo at rb

I'd be amazed if he doesn't play Elmo.

Is this Elmo's last season on his contract?

Didn’t he sign a one year extension this year or was that last year? He’s been a super servant for the club. I’ll be shocked if he doesn’t play on Wednesday. Have Engels on the bench with Hause.

A super servant to the club? He's only been here a couple of years. He's grown on me though. A top pro, I'll give him that and he's certainly improved since Smith arrived.
