They appealed and lost. I didn't even think it was a foul, Bowen clearly plants both feet to launch the dive. If it is a foul, yellow at worst for where it is. Upholding a red is just looking after their mates again.

I am glad we appealed though.

VAR is a mockery. It's only supposed to get involved where there's been an obvious mistake. They saw how it was used in the Euro's and how popular that was, started the season in very much the same way but they're slowly going back to the shit that it's been the last couple of seasons.

The trouble is the officials ad premier league want to have there own take on it.
They should toe the line like other countries and  implement the same.
Lagging behind it attitudes never helped anyone

The Euros in the summer only confirmed how poor the refereeing is in the PL. I thought the Championship was shocking but the PL isn't that much better.

So we did appeal, but it was rejected.

Konza was unlucky as on a second look I'm convinced Bowen dived to get a pen and him sent off.

I thought if you appealed and it got rejected that an extra game got added to the ban, or is that bollocks?

Only if the appeal is deemed to be particularly frivolous. If they can at least see what you're getting at, you won't get an extra game ban. If they think you're taking the piss, you will.

Scorer of more Premier League goals between 5pm and 7pm today than Harry Kane has scored since May.

Think it was £2.75m as Celtic would only pay £2.25m as they thought they had him and were lowballing Hibs.

Hopefully his injury isn't too serious? Seemed to hurt his lower back in a tackle. We need cover quickly in this transfer window with Tuanzebe now on loan at Napoli...

It was a dirty, late challenge that did him. Hause is a decent replacement but having two lefties at centre half makes us very narrow.

Hopefully it's nothing serious.
