The pack looks good but the pump doesn’t inflate the football. Don’t know if it’s one or both at fault.

Pump fell apart in 3 seconds flat. Just put the pin on a bike pump. Bag is great for swimming lessons.

I'm still packless, cardless, letterless, or whatever.

Our pump did pump up the football. The football itself is really nice.
The bag is great for swimming & judo.
The water bottle is still watertight.

Guess we are lucky.

I am also delighted that the Villa hoodie I bought him at the same time as we went to collect his pack doesn’t appear to have been off his back since - he is wearing it in every photo I see of him!

...........although it would appear that Mr Amfy is still waiting to be officially ‘Part of the Pride’ - but that is probably as it should be!

At least they seem to have prioritised sorting the Cubs packs, which is sensible even if it’s not ideal and doesn’t help Bad English ;-)

I don't believe it; it arrived today! This is the pack: a letter and a chip and PIN card.

"We've got your welcome pack here..."

Where, a letter is not a welcome pack!

Quite. They could have stuck a fridge magnet or a packet of stickers in. :-/

Well, I still haven't got anything.  If my letter doesn't contain some tat I'm going to be even more upset.  Saying that, I did get a very nice free AVFC branded metal water bottle on Saturday.

Well, at least I know I can put up to £200 on the card if I don't know what to do with my money .

Small word of caution on the ecash – it's supposed to be set up so that your first transaction needs the PIN, and then all subsequent transactions don't.

Apparently Zoro, the company running the back-end bit of the process, have changed the system settings so that every fifth transaction needs the PIN. They didn't tell anyone at the club this, which didn't go down well.

It's the same on season cards. Mine's been declined the last two occasions, and it was only the manager in the Holte Pub on Saturday who told me why. He reckons loads of people have run into the same problem.

The kid's gift looks great. My lad was excited about taking his water bottle into school today but when I came to fill it up the stickers have already come off. The pumps don't work in either his or his sister's pack and the balls won't blow up. The bag itself and the captain's armband are great. Last year, their packs had stickers, a badge, a card this year, as others have said, it's a letter. In general, I think the club is doing a lot of important things right, but this cubs/claret business is a clusterfuck.
