Were we to ever have an adidas kit, the one thing I can guarantee is there'd be a heated debate about how three stripes have no place on a Villa kit, it looks too "West Ham", etc.

Indeed

Had my brother-in-law staying with us yesterday, who's the chairman of Irish division 2 side Drogheda United.  They were going to get Kappa as well, but didn't because of the crap quality.  Incidentally they play in claret and blue as well.

Celta are still my Spanish team after they schooled us at VP in 1998 when we were riding high on top of the league. Some of their kits have been lovely over the years since.

I took my kids up to see Villa play Drogheda in a pre-season friendly in, I think 1994.

How did we do and who wore claret? Stevie Staunton must have got a mixed reaction.
